Two Great Scams of the Kermit Gosnell Case

Note: This video shows abortion clinic workers reporting on what was happening in their clinic – not the Gosnell clinic, but in another state. Please use discretion in viewing this video, as it contains graphic explanations of what was happening in the clinic.

There are two ways in which the murder conviction of Kermit Gosnell is one of the great legal and public relations scams of the century.

First of all, it was a legal scam because the he murdered thousands but was only prosecuted for three murders. Every single baby he aborted, whether it was six weeks or thirty weeks was a brutal killing since it is no secret that life begins at conception. It is a scam to pretend that only some abortions are murder.

Second, it is a public relations scam because what he was doing is happening everyday in abortion clinics and the press makes it seem that what was happening was an isolated case. See the evidence here that Kermit Gosnell is not an Outlier. The conviction gives the perception that somehow there are abortion clinics practicing murder and then there are those which are not; some are horrific and some are not; some are grisly and some are not, when in fact, all abortion clinics kill babies and the problem is not that a clinic is dirty and unkempt, and some of the babies were older, but that babies were being killed.

These scams, both legal and public relations, are the kinds of scams that dull the consciences of the American public, while pleasing the abortion rights crowd and the Obama administration.

Another Blast from the Culture of Death

Albert Mohler speaks up for the unborn, as he has so many times, in this article, Thrown Over the Fence — Infanticide, Canadian Style. He ends the piece with these chilling words:

Mark this well — the horrific logic of this judge’s decision will not remain in Canada. Indeed, it did not even start in Canada. Those arguments are already in place in the United States. If we will not defend life in the womb, eventually the dignity of every single human life is thrown over the fence.

14% of All Dutch Deaths Involve Euthanasia, Assisted Suicide

If you have been watching the news over the past two decades relating to the Netherlands’ rising culture of death, you would see it keeps trending upward and reaching new areas. Even children are being euthanized there now, and the age threshold keeps dropping.

The author of this Life News article concludes with this, “If the USA legalized euthanasia and had a similar killing count, the total number of doctor-administered deaths would be over 300,000 annually!” Christians have a way to think this through via one of the Ten Commandments – “Thou shalt not kill.” It is one of many verses in Scripture where God condemns this practice.

When Political Leaders Encourage Moral Decline

“For the Lord brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had encouraged moral decline in Judah and had been continually unfaithful to the Lord.” – 2 Chronicles 28:19

How to Defend the Sanctity of Life from Scripture

In the film, Whatever Happened to the Human Race?, Francis Schaeffer rightly said, “The sanctity of life did not come from nowhere.” He went on to declare that it came from the Bible.

So how do you use the Bible to defend the sanctity of life?  One of the gifts we need to pass on to the next generation is a firm remembrance of the sanctity of life. If we do not help the younger generation memorize the central passages of Scripture, they will not have the intellectual strength to resist the tide of tyranny against the unborn. Abortion is an attack on the entire Bible. In the Law, the Prophets, the Poetic Books, the Pauline Epistles, and the Gospels, we find evidence of the sacredness of life in the womb and the sovereignty of God at work in conception. Scripture makes it clear that there should be equal protection under the law for life in the womb.

The following passages of Scripture are key in building a biblical understanding of abortion and the sanctity of life. They are organized under the following headings: Life, Murder, Our Duty, and the Blessing of Children. (more…)

How the World’s Greatest Explorers Dream Scuttled – the Defining Nature of Small Mistakes

Used with Permission from The Coldest Journey/Photo by Ian Prickett

After five years of preparation, a 68-year-old adventurer, Ranulph Fiennes, has been forced to pull out of what is known as, “The Coldest Journey on Earth.” While this high-powered title might sound like hype, it’s not. No one has ever walked across Antarctica in winter. Doing so is hard to beat in terms of adversity – near permanent darkness, howling winds, zero support systems or people anywhere, and lethally cold temperatures. Check out the gargantuan financial and logistical efforts necessary for this expedition. Why the pullout? One small error! The BBC reports: (more…)

The Poison Pill That Was the Sexual Revolution

Hollywood does not like to talk about her dead. She wants to look so sunny on the outside, but really, the dead are there. The evidence of this is everywhere. Here are 25 signs American Women are Being Destroyed by the Sexual Revolution that appeared at The American Dream:

Has the sexual revolution been good for American women?  Not at all.  In fact, when you look at the facts it becomes clear that the sexual revolution has been an absolute disaster for American women.  In the United States today, men have been trained to primarily view women as sex objects, and our culture has become exceedingly promiscuous.  As a result, the United States leads the world in teen pregnancy, there are 19 million new STD infections every single year, more than half of all children born to women under the age of 30 are being born out of wedlock and we are witnessing the systematic breakdown of the family unit in America.  And yet anyone that tries to teach our young women that they should dress modestly and keep themselves pure for marriage is severely criticized.  Well, if all Americans actually did keep themselves pure until marriage, we wouldn’t have nearly the problems with STDs, teen pregnancy and abortion that we do today.  The consequences of teaching our young women that they should be “free” to run around and sleep with a whole bunch of different men have been dramatic.  The following are 25 signs that American women are being destroyed by the sexual revolution and our promiscuous culture… (more…)

I Was Nineteen When Abortion Was Legalized

I was nineteen-years-old when abortion was legalized. I was one of those young people who had a front row seat at the collapsing moral stage. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was as if the forces of Hell were suddenly let loose on America. The perfect storm of destruction was howling all around and the scaffolding went down. It was a witches’ brew that was blown out everywhere by those winds: the sexual revolution, the rock-and-roll generation, the drug revolution, and the “Age of Aquarius.” This was the beginning of the lawless generation who said, “If it feels good, do it.” This was the beginning of the end of the America of our founding fathers. After only forty years, we have killed millions. We have the most radically pro-abortion President in the past 40 years. There is no remorse for the killing. There is little consciousness of innocent blood on our hands. The Bible says there is “a time to mourn and a time to dance.” Yesterday, January 22, 2013, was a day to mourn – the 40th anniversary of Roe v Wade.

A Genocide That Should Take Your Breath Away

In America, we have killed off 56 million through abortion since January 22, 1973. That’s roughly the size of the population of California, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington State combined. We have wiped out a generation of workers, consumers, and tax payers. We have wiped out the younger generation, and now there are too few loved ones to take care of the old. Worldwide, we have killed 1.2 billion children through the hands of abortionists – a huge percentage considering the world population is now around 6.8 billion today. As a result, industrialized economies are faltering under the weight of the genocide. Everyday, we are destroying economic growth and plunging the world into a prolonged economic winter. This is the judgment of God, because you can’t break the sixth commandment (or any other commandment) without inviting harm.

Why Abortion Was the Great Tragedy of the 2012 Election

The great tragedy of the 2012 election is that roughly 33 million would-be voters were not with us, because they had been murdered. From 1973-1994, roughly 35 million babies were aborted. That’s roughly 35 million 18-39 year-olds, who did not vote because they were dead.

Abortion Clinic Chronicles: Letters for Life from Little Ones

As we continue to gather as families at the local abortion clinic, it’s been a challenge to find ways to incorporate our younger children in the outreach we’re engaged in. However, a recent past week marked one of first times an entire family came prepared, each with a special gift to give.

If you were a mom driving into the clinic this past week, you would have received handrawn notes and pictures from 7-year-old girls, saying, “I am adopted. I pray that you would keep your baby.” “Please don’t go in that place. We love you.”; and “A baby is in your belly. It is alive.”

Though the clinic is removed from the road, every car coming through that entrance passes an army of little children with their arms extended, offering their letters.

These are “Letters 4 Life” – many of which are written by children whom God has spared from the horror of abortion and placed into Christ-centered families.

The Culture of Convenience Killing and Its Roots – See the Birth Control Movie Project

As we draw nearer to the anniversary of Roe v Wade (January 22), my thoughts turn to the things that we have allowed in our thinking that brought us to the place we are today where it’s no problem to us that we have killed over 50 million babies here in the US. What kind of thinking has led us to so much killing? The abortion industry is fueled by a culture of immorality and convenience. That’s obvious. What is so remarkable is how something so legitimate as convenience worked to endorse a culture of immorality, contraception, abortion and euthanasia…they are all part of the same family.

Don’t miss the Birth Control Movie Project to get the details of the historical movements that got us to the place where it’s no problem to most Americans that we kill babies in their wombs.  (more…)

Famous Adulterer Named Father of the Year

Amazingly, the former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, has been named “Father of the Year” by the National Father’s Day Council. What won him this honor? Reuters reported that, Dan Orwig, the chairman of the National Father’s Day Committee, explained it this way, “Profound generosity, leadership and tireless dedication to both his public office and many philanthropic organizations, President Clinton exemplifies the attributes that we celebrate through the father of the year award.” Ironically the website address for the organization is momanddaddy.com.

So it’s worse than I thought. For a decade, I have been saying that biblical fatherhood in America has been completely lost – even in church life. But it is much worse, fatherhood has been so radically re-defined to mean something completely different from any previous definition of fatherhood – Christian or secular.

Abortion Clinic Chronicles – They Got Back in the Car and Left

Worldwide, we have killed 1.2 billion children through the hands of abortionists – a huge percentage considering the world population is now around 6.8 billion today. Voices must be raised, for we cannot forget or let the world forget what we are doing. Innocent blood is on all our hands. Innocent blood always cries out, and human voices should always be raised in solidarity with that innocent blood. That is why I am grateful that each week people from our church go out to plead for the lives of unborn babies in front of our local abortion clinic. They lift up their voices to cry out for the innocent. I know that their time, prayers, anguish, labors, preaching, and pleading often seems to be in vain. But occasionally God gives glimpses into the fruit of their labors.

A past Saturday, a girl was brought to the abortion clinic by three of her friends. They all got out of the car and stood beside it talking for quite a while. The counselors from our church were calling to them inviting them to come and talk while the preacher was preaching the Word and the Gospel over the loud speakers. They listened to the preaching and continued to engage in very energetic conversation. The preacher kept preaching about how children are a blessing from the Lord and how God had knit that child together in her womb. The counselors kept calling out and beckoning to them to come and talk personally. After about 20 minutes, the three friends suddenly started clapping. We stood there wondering what was going on.

Then, they hugged and all got back into the car. As they drove up the driveway where our counselors were standing, they stopped and explained that the three of them had been trying to talk the girl out of the abortion all morning to no avail. But, the preaching had changed her heart. On that day, God used many voices to save one tiny life.

A New Kind of King for a New Year

What kind of king does God desire? The Ruler of the universe has declared what kinds of civil leaders He desires. He communicates this in a number of places. The last words of David is one place where we find a declaration of the will of God for civil leaders. David declared what God said a king must be:

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me: ‘He who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be like the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, like the tender grass springing out of the earth, by clear shining after rain.’ – 2 Samuel 23:3-4
