God has arranged church and family for a beautiful complementary relationship. This is derived from Christ’s commands, patterns, and principles for church life.

In our generation, many of Christ’s shepherding principles for church and family have been set aside. For example, the biblical patterns of discipleship throughout the Bible are explicitly age integrated. Why is it, then, that the philosophy of ministry of the modern church is comprehensively age segregated? Why is the church fragmenting the family? Simply, the church has adopted a worldly philosophy. She has forgotten the complementary roles of church and family. This series of messages will expose the false patterns and provide biblical solutions.

We abuse the church by disconnecting her from the family, and we abuse our own families by disconnecting them from the church. Church and family play dual and parallel roles for similar purposes.

If you want to build strong churches, you must build strong families. If you want to build strong families, you must recover the biblical discipleship patterns in the church. These messages will help you see the big picture and the applications that follow.
