Shedding Innocent Blood
Each week two teams from our church make their way to two local abortion clinics – one on Thursday and the other on Saturday. They go in the compassion of Christ for the souls of others. They also cry out to those who are about to shed innocent blood. While their first priority is to appeal for their souls by explaining the gospel, they are also there to testify to the dangers of shedding innocent blood.
Recently in our family bible study we were reading about the days of the downfall of Israel at the hands of Nebuchadnezzar. One of the reasons for their demise was their shedding of innocent blood,
Surely at the commandment of the Lord this came upon Judah, to remove them from His sight because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done, and also because of the innocent blood that he had shed; for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, which the Lord would not pardon (2 Kgs. 24:3-4).
We have to consider the impact on America from our shedding the innocent blood of millions of babies. Will “Nebuchadnezzar” come to pour out the wrath of God upon us?
