These girls came ready to display a picture of Liberty, Sacrifice, Honor, Bravery, Loyalty, Freedom, and Courage in commemoration of our veterans and in thankfulness to God for His mercy to our land.
As part of the Old-Fashioned Memorial Day Picnic, we had a photo contest. We wanted a photo that most effectively captured the spirit of honor, joy, and multi-generational legacy which exemplifies our annual Memorial Day celebration. We are pleased to announce that Nathan Nicholson won this contest by submitting the above photo.
For Memorial Day, the MacIntire Brothers from Soldiering Through History joined us in full uniform to honor the veterans of the United States of America.
Here are my grandsons, Triumph and Knox, making their way through the Military Obstacle Course that we set up for Memorial Day. With an imaginary sniper bunkered down in a fox hole, teams of young soldiers tried to complete the obstacle course.

I got to spend some time today with the Price brothers before memorial day on Monday.
These dear and heroic veterans need encouragement. They are largely unappreciated. They have been forgotten by many. Their stories are being lost. Each one has spent their lives dealing with the implications of their experiences in the Second World War, and yet today many are spending their final years alone and lonely. This is one reason we are asking you join us by working to make this Memorial Day meaningful for the generations — for the present generation and for some of our surviving World War II fathers.
